The delivery app is as effective at express meal planning as the drive-thru was when it first arrived. That probably sounds exaggerated. However, there was a change in the nature of fast food service when the drive-thru started to catch on. The idea behind drive thru technology was convenience. A drive-thru meant faster service. The convenience of a delivery from across town, cannot be understated when it’s late, and dinner needs to be served. It makes any delivery app feel more like a personal delivery app. If we take this same example, and flip from the customer, to the courier, the scenario is nearly the same.
It’s nearly the same from a courier’s perspective. There is always one topic couriers discuss when there is a queue of couriers at a pickup location. Which app do you think is better? It’s usually right after arrival. It’s in the mobile pickup area. Furthermore, the couriers are the ones waiting patiently while checking the screen for additional instructions.
