Timely Pickups and Timely Dropoffs for Better Times
A courier spends a lot of time hopping from one place to another. Each hop has details to accomplish, before hopping to the next. Furthermore, much of the hopping, has a time limit.
Experienced couriers have a knack for moving fast, and being mindful, while doing so. It comes with repetition and experience. Even so, every courier was once a new courier.

New couriers just beginning with a delivery app, will notice that there are estimated times for each step of the delivery. Firstly there is arrival time, pick up time, or something similar. This will vary depending on the app the courier is using.

Many merchants still have areas set up for deliveries. The courier should scout these areas first to see if the cargo is ready for pick up.
Special note: Some merchants keep cargo ready, and out of reach of the general public, therefore, it is necessary to alert merchant staff that the courier is there for pick up.
Timely Dropoffs
This is the part that is more fun, than, not fun. The dropoff is also under a time constraint. However, meeting this deadline, is all about the courier.
Knowledge of the local area, alternate routes, and even shortcuts, are ways that the courier can make some time, and arrive ahead of time.
Whether leave at the door, or meet at the door, the arrival time at the door matters. In fact, the delivery apps track the couriers completion times, and rate the courier accordingly. So, better times are important for the overall rating of the courier.
