The delivery side hustle is a unique way to earn additional income. And in some cases it is a full time job position. When a courier is in a crew environment, repetition is more than normal. It is also frequent.
With this in mind there is an advantage with consistent tasks. Furthermore, with a static delivery area, it is possible to develop speed. Developing speed is important for earnings. Not only earnings but also ratings.
The Art of the Dispatch
One common point for couriers, is the dispatch board. Furthermore, it takes time to adapt to a dispatch board. The board is designed to assist the courier in dispatching a delivery. The dispatch board also has details and mapping for the delivery.
Similarly the dispatch board tracks stats. For example, drop-offs. The courier can also see exact times of past completions. Furthermore there are cargo details on a dispatch board. For the crew courier this is helpful.
Clearly the dispatch board is a useful tool for the courier tool kit. However there is more to the board than meets the eye. The experienced crew courier knows the art of dispatch board, well. Additionally, it is an often practiced art.
In a rush, the courier can see each delivery in the queue, on the dispatch board. Furthermore the courier can expect to be at the dispatch board at least twice an hour, respectively. However the size and intensity of the rush is a consideration.
Dispatch Courier
In an extreme rush it’s easy for the courier to be at the dispatch board, four times an hour. This means the courier is completing a delivery every fifteen minutes. When this is the case, for a couple of hours or more, the pace is fast.
With this in mind it’s easy to become an art of the dispatch courier. Furthermore, analyzing the order of deliveries, and their courier match is an art or skill the crew courier develops through experience and time. Stay safe out there.
