Switching zones and dash on the way, for the better results

Switching zones and dash on the way, for the better results

A zone can be about more than comfort. Indeed, it can sometimes be about security. Other times it might be the red zone. And the favorite team is about to score. Maybe. Anything can happen in football. Perhaps that is part of its appeal.

With this in mind, the courier has a unique position where anything can happen. Furthermore, the timing and location of deliveries is a mystery. Until added to the queue. Once added to the queue, the disbursement begins. Respectively.

    Switching zones

The crew courier has the advantage of viewing an entire queue. Or dispatch board. Having an overview of every delivery is one of the most important tools for expediting deliveries. For the merchant. For the courier, it allows a view into upcoming deliveries. Also which couriers will be aligned to which deliveries.

That is one advantage of driving with a crew. The courier is better able to predict events. The crew courier must get moving quick. And complete the drop-off. Then return to the same merchant, for the next delivery, in the same zone. The solo courier routinely leaves one zone, and gets all up in another one.

Additionally by the time the solo courier returns to the original zone, the lost time is difficult to regain. Furthermore the time lost returning to the original zone, could have been used to complete another delivery. This is the idea behind dash on the way, in the door dash app.

    Dash on the way

The courier has left the original starting zone. Furthermore, the courier is still in the rush hours. Therefore, there are ample deliveries no matter the side of town the courier is on. This is a good time for switching zones. It is also a good time to accept delivery offers on the way back to the original zone.

This dash on the way feature is useful for the courier. Additionally, it keeps the dwindling resources focused on increased earnings. Both of these features are designed to help the courier. Indeed, by making the most out of every minute on the road. Stay safe out there.
