How to squeeze a road trip between the mailboxes
There is a lot of hustle in the step by step process of a delivery app. Couriers benefit from staying alert, and from careful observation of the details in the delivery app. Furthermore, a timely performance is an expectation. It’s a condition of using the app. The tracking is also a part of it. In fact, there’s more than a lot to keep in mind when in live delivery mode. The routine delivery has little room for adventure, or random events that cause delay to the mission. Adventures, and delays, are more for the road trip than the short hop delivery.
With this in mind, it’s not unusual to deal with stress behind the wheel. Not everyone is prone to road rage, or extreme acts of road sabotage. However, just about everyone deals with some stress when behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. And if there’s a delivery app along for the ride, better magnify the stress by ten. Sounds like a lot of stress.
It is a lot of stress if it can accumulate. Therefore, it’s best not to let it accumulate. Although a road trip involves a lot of road time, it doesn’t have the same level of stress, that road time in delivery triggers. It’s more like a vacation instead of stressful work. This is a great approach for the delivery driver. There’s nothing like a mini road trip between the mailboxes.
A Road Trip Between the Mailboxes
It’s a new tune on the radio. Not the satellite radio, but the real old school, never know what song is next, radio. If the courier is fortunate enough to have an old vehicle, the radio may have been included. Furthermore, the radio is free. If the vehicle has an antenna, chances are good that there’s a radio station or two, available on the radio.
The radio can put a whole new spin on a delivery. Additionally, it helps pass the time, in-between those mailboxes. The long stretch across the highway has that road trip feel, when good tunes are on the radio. However, there doesn’t have to be tunes playing, to create a stress free road trip aura. For example, a popular podcast or audio book, can also put the brakes on the road stress. Furthermore, it works well with the mailbox to mailbox routine.

So do cool snacks. Not the snacks in the convenience stores or the gas depots. This is about custom snacks. Got a sweet tooth? Head to the grocery store and stock up. It’s less expensive than high dollar convenience stores. Likewise it’s the best way to get a great personalized snack for the road trip between the mailboxes. Additionally, it takes away the need to make time consuming stops mid delivery.
A Personal Journey
It’s a personal journey. Everyone that drives a vehicle has the feeling of autonomy. Furthermore, our vehicles feel like sovereign ground. Therefore, getting the most out of that little personal universe, is a personal journey. Indeed, it’s possible to use the sound system to learn a new language while driving between the mailboxes.
It seems only natural to personalize the time spent inside the sanctuary of our automobiles. Especially when using them to make a living. Or to try and benefit from a side hustle. The true spirit of the delivery journey, is when it feels more like a road trip. The difference in the level of stress, related to each, is noticeable.
