Sometimes by choice, sometimes not. Changing course sucks, especially when you’re on point, and you’re hellbent on following through with the initial plan. Course changes, (the unexpected ones) can derail timing, completion, and a host of other things. Most everyone knows the old saying, a person doesn’t plan to fail, a person fails to plan. Having a plan is freaking great! Having a backup plan, priceless!
Experienced drivers/couriers seek alternate methods for every detail. Just in case. We always hope we won’t need the spare tire, but we got one, just in case. Keeping this strategy in mind, gives the best overall chances for a successful tour.
