Better flippers – The frog and the Princess

Welcome back to the kingdom, the one always shining bright. Such a wondrous and lovely place, glowing like a jewel in the night. Now, in front of us we can clearly see, the Royal Castle shining ever so majestically.

But it isn’t here, where this story takes place. It’s on the other side of the pond, and it’s a special case. So it is that a special time of year, is here. And we find ourselves viewing a jumpy frog, full of good cheer. With this in mind, it is perfectly clear, this frog is happy that Christmas is near.

With a frog happy grin, and a flourish to his moves, this is a frog with no time to lose. Therefore, he finishes wrapping it, and puts a bow on top. Such a gorgeous present, and worth every single hop. Now to the delivery, and hope for the best. At long last a jumpy frog, nearing the end of his quest.

Along the other side of the pond the Royal Castle shines enchanting, and bright. And all the evening torches are being lit, ahead of the long winter night. Now the lovely Princess passes by a window and stops to see, a large storm of snow, falling heavily.

‘This is good’ she thinks, as she begins to watch the magic of the winter snow. And now, on both sides of the window, there is beauty, and loveliness aglow. Yet, as she watches, she feels in awe of the event. And within minutes, a Royal summons she sent.

    Better flippers

A summons for the Royal couriers to travel both near and far. And alert all the kingdom wherever they are. A celebration at the Royal castle would take place. And the couriers would carry the news, just in case. Furthermore and additionally, they were to be on the lookout, for a tree.

    The frog and the Princess

Flippers in the air! And snow flakes everywhere! A jumpy frog slip sliding along. And humming a slimy frog song. Though the snow builds and the lily pads are slick and slippery, this frog is celebrating a victory! At long last he has a present you see, and it is for the lovely Princess exclusively.

On the way to the castle was he, when there came this heavy snowstorm, unexpectedly. However, through the billowing snow he makes his way. Oh mercy! At this rate it will take all day! Slipping and sliding and wishing for better flippers. And trying with all his might, not to lose his knickers.

Then it happens, and very unexpectedly. A jumpy frog slides off the road and lands in a tree. This isn’t the worst of it, not by a long shot. He also lost the present, in that very spot. It landed in the pond with a splash. And with a ploop, sank in a flash. Big buggy frog eyes, can’t believe what they saw. His present is gone. Bow and all.

A frog in a tree, and stuck there unfortunately. And what’s that? Did anyone else hear a sound? Is it possible that the frog has already been found? But look there, and it’s plain to see. These are some kind of Castle Royalty. A jumpy frog, with no where to go, becomes as quiet, as the falling snow.
