Alcohol delivery fail and new safety check-ins

One of the most common delivery types is alcohol delivery. Its popularity has grown since it was first introduced. Not only does it offer convenience, but also a measure of safety. Additionally, the process for observing the law, when completing an alcohol delivery, is quick and easy.

With this in mind, most delivery apps have procedures, or steps to follow. These steps are a way to ensure the courier’s safety. In more ways than one. For example, checking ID and getting it scanned. The local laws and ordinances concerning alcohol delivery, are on the courier, when at the door.

With a successful alcohol delivery, the courier will quickly be back on the road. However, every delivery, does not go as planned. While the majority of them may go smoothly, some just fizzle out. It is important to note, the app has a return process.

Not only is there a process for the return of hot fresh food (destroy it) but also there is a return process for the alcohol delivery. Depending on the merchant it can go one of two ways. Having experienced both, it is easy to say, either process is straightforward.

One way to return the alcohol delivery, is to return it. Furthermore, the app will compensate the courier for the additional miles and time. Once the courier triggers the fail button for the delivery, the app gives the next steps to take.

The other way to return the delivery is to destroy it. (laser not provided) All kidding aside, the proper disposal would be to dispose of it. In a trash can. Or likewise, a dumpster. Once again, the app will give details, after the courier has satisfied each of the previous steps.

    Safety check-ins

The next part of this article deals with the new safety check-ins recently introduced in the door dash app. It is good to see more attention given to the safety of the courier. The idea is to alert the courier if the delivery seems to be going awry. This sounds like an early warning system for snafus.
