Adding Up the Video Options Counts
Once there was the camcorder, and it was one of the few options for capturing that evolving moment in time. The telephone was just that, a telephone, and it was tethered to the wall, and movie tickets were still under five bucks!
Most cameras in those days were also just that, cameras. They weren’t as capable or portable as they are in today’s world.
Most doorbells in today’s world have cameras, our phones have cameras, our toys have cameras, even the ride has cameras! It’s almost impossible to go anywhere these days without being observed and recorded.
It’s a familiar scene from our favorite television series. The good guys are searching for the bad guys, there are cameras everywhere, yet the bad guys evade them all! Even the one they didn’t know about!
But trying to shake that vending machine holding your five dollar candy bar hostage, will summon big brother, faster than lightning.
Video advantage
Having this many video options is a bonus, and there are more than a few bonuses for couriers. Safety is a great benefit, as well as documented evidence in times of emergency, such as fender benders or road debris.
Interacting with hidden cameras is something we all do. This one is hidden in plain sight, always an excellent place for maximizing video options.
Other benefits for couriers include definitive proof in traffic situations that involve being pulled over by law enforcement. Also, determining the color of a traffic light, or the position of another vehicle. There are numerous good reasons to go heavy on the video options.
My personal setup for video options, includes a frontfacing camera, a rearfacing camera that is mounted for rear facing video. Integrating the cameras into the center console is also possible, and may become a future post on theanonymouscourier.com.
