Got time? That’s a tricky one. Time is a valuable commodity. It’s possible to do a lot of things with time. Furthermore, a courier is in the business of saving time.

It’s in the pursuit of every delivery. An opportunity to save time. Not only does the saved time benefit the customer, but also the courier. With more time it is possible to accept more offers.

It is also possible to complete drop-offs with time to spare. Similarly it’s possible to make pickups with time to spare. All of which should give the courier an opportunity to pick up more offers. In a timely manner.

The Late Delivery

Sometimes it’s possible to run behind time. There are times when the courier will accept an offer that has previously seen drama. Perhaps the original courier was unable to wait for the cargo to be prepared. It is even possible the cargo is a replacement, for previously damaged cargo.

This is when times, are no longer flowing smoothly. A hiccup has caused the timing to be skewed. Not only is the timing off at the pickup location, but also it will be, off, at the drop-off as well.

The courier may be able to make up some time with handy route knowledge and attentive driving. It certainly helps the overall experience. However the stats will reflect the time delays. For the courier that pays close attention to the stats, this is unsettling.

It is possible to improve the stats on subsequent deliveries. In as much as being late hurts the stats, being on time, or early, improves the stats. In fact, there are times when a late delivery actually improves the stats!

Might seem counterintuitive, but it is possible through late night deliveries. These are special in the sense that they are outside of the rush, yet every bit as in demand.

The courier will also experience less traffic in the late hours of the night. Furthermore, the further away the drop-off, the greater the opportunity for earnings. This is a good example of when the late delivery is the best late delivery.

Additionally, the courier has an opportunity to see a positive jump in the stats, with a late night delivery. Put several together and the stats will improve. This is an excellent way to regain lost points from previous hiccups. Stay safe out there!
