When furbabies attack how to handle a cuddly cujo
Arriving at a drop-off location is a welcome relief. There are just a few more steps and the delivery will be in the books. First, ring the doorbell and listen to see if the sound of a chime can be heard. Next wait patiently for the door to be answered.
Then fight for your life on the front porch, while cujo gets busy. Furthermore, it was a surprise attack! Who could have seen the furry doom waiting patiently in the wings? Also the fur baby did a great job protecting the homestead!
When Furbabies Attack
Now to get back the left pant leg and carry on to the next delivery. With a slight limp. Most every courier has met a diligent fur baby protector! Furthermore the fur baby has no idea the delivery was called for! Therefore all bets are off at the door.
In most cases the courier will see it happening. The fur baby becomes animated and then gets hyper! All in the space of a few seconds. Next the courier becomes a tasty snack. Or the new chew toy. Respectively.
So how does the courier avoid the gnashing teeth and flying fur? The short answer is very carefully. Between the solo courier and crew courier the presence of furbabies on a delivery is a given. Similarly if the fur baby is an aggressive protector the drop-off location usually alerts the courier. The alert may include special instructions.
The special instructions are the best way to manage the delivery, with as little stress as possible for the furry home protectors. However there are times when accidents happen. For example, the cuddly cujo attack. From experience the little furbabies are fast and fierce. They bite quickly, shake it hard, then run like mad!
The Cuddly Cujo
Larger furbabies are a different animal, to coin a phrase. Home protectors that are larger and stronger, are less likely to be held at the door. They are strong and it is helpful to have a pizza bag or heat bag to shield with. Hold tight though, the game is to rip it away, and get to the tasty courier.
Obviously these types of problems at the door are rare thanks to improved communication in the apps. Furthermore, the courier can scout the scene upon arrival. If the fur baby is too aggressive or intimidating, a quick phone call or message can save the day. Stay safe out there!
