Turnstiles and barcodes new age delivery tech
Hot fresh food delivery has come a long way since the days of pizza only deliveries. In the days of pizza only deliveries, dispatch boards were real, not virtual. Not only were dispatch boards real, but also they were central to the courier’s work.
The old dispatch boards had an incredible feature that was not readily available in those days. A map. Not only a map, but also a marked map. There was a start and a destination. Furthermore, the courier could see the route and directions.
For the really new couriers, maps were not always on a smartphone, in fact phones weren’t too smart in the old days. The courier relied more on written directions, memory and common sense. If the courier had a phone at all, that was a leg up on the competition.
Turnstiles and Barcodes
Flash forward a few years and tech advances. Once it became possible to load maps on a smartphone, the evolution of the new age solo courier began. From this evolution, grew the beginnings of an industry.
Not only an industry, but also a way of life in some cases, with regards to couriers. It is now possible for the courier to deliver a hot and fresh gourmet dinner alongside an alcohol delivery.
For the dropoff location, this two birds and one stone approach, is a bonus and a timesaver! Simply scan some barcodes and a quick sobriety test and all is well. I am kidding about the sobriety test, however, it is important to be sober enough to accept delivery.
Delivery Tech
Additionally, a valid ID must be presented in an alcohol delivery. It isn’t the courier that requires the proof, it is the law. The tech advantage will handle all the red tape, the courier just has to get a scan, the rest is all about the tech.
From bus stations to hospitals, or from airports to the faraway neighborhood, the courier is always on the move. And from turnstiles to barcodes it’s all about that new age delivery tech. Stay safe out there.
