Turning in quick brunches and the zippy lunch happy hour
Brunch and lunch are important times of the day. Most workers have a set amount of time for breaks while working. Once that time has expired, it’s time to get back to work. Most workers think about the lunch break as the half way point. Or the bridge to getting this workday over with.
Not only is lunch super important but also seriously fleeting. It seems as though time flies from the very first minute of the lunch break. Before we know it, it’s time to return to work. If that has to be without lunch, not cool. The courier can assist in making that happen, with very little effort.
All it takes is one slower than average drive-thru. Or one unexpected traffic jam. It is possible to be delayed in more ways than a few. This in turn can cause a ripple effect that reverberates through an entire day.
Not only does this affect the drop-off location but also the courier. It is not the goal of the courier to cause a missed lunch. Indeed, lunch time is an express time, and there is little time to spare. This is when turning in quick brunches and the zippy lunch happy hour is so important.
Zippy Lunch
Running the lunch hour delivery scene is unlike the evening rush. Lunch happens quickly and is over quickly. Nothing says failed delivery like the lunch order that arrives at the end of the lunch break.
With this in mind, the courier can benefit by being on the field early. Lunch time may be roaring at noon, however, it started two hours before noon. In the early days of delivering with the apps, timing was a longshot. Especially as the pandemic restrictions really took hold.

Fast forward to current times, and not only is the customer more savvy with timing, but also the merchants have improved. This means the courier will be able to benefit from the improved timing by improving hustle.
Improving hustle has nothing to do with increased driving speed. The courier is only driving as fast as the traffic conditions allow. With this being said, the improved hustle is all in being mindful. Attention to detail and competent spatial awareness are key attributes in a good lunchtime hustle.
Drive thru offers are a catch 22 in the lunch rush. The courier should carefully consider these offers. The possibility of a long wait in a drive thru line exists. In short, being on the field early and some hustle, will win the day. Stay safe out there!
