Thoughts on the completion rating, aka the easy rating

The completion rating is real. It is also an important rating for the solo courier. It is a rating that seems strange to track. Because, yes the delivery is complete. That’s what the tip was for.

Indeed, if that pizza doesn’t show up, it’s a sure bet someone will be alerted. Vigorously. Furthermore that’s 90 % of the job. The actual drop-off of the delivery order. So why track it? What need is there for that particular rating?

For the sake of brevity, and in my opinion, the rating isn’t useful. Why take a delivery, if the courier isn’t going to finish it? Furthermore, there will be pay at the end of the delivery. What courier walks away leaving that on the table?

However, not all deliveries end with a completion. In any delivery things can go wrong. Additionally, there are cases where the rating prevents abuse of the platform. Mostly. And by extension, the customer.

With this in mind, it’s easy to see why the completion rating is thought of as the easy rating. Furthermore, the courier doesn’t have to try hard to keep the rating high. Just do the work. Every time an offer is accepted. Complete it.

To be clear, there are times when it doesn’t happen. An in-house crew courier will have incomplete deliveries. Or times when the courier returns the cargo to the merchant. Occasionally contact with the drop-off location is established. Shortly thereafter. Then the delivery is completed.

This scenario looks more like a canceled delivery for the solo courier. For example, the drop-off location cancelled the delivery. This is an involved procedure and requires the customer to cancel the order and delivery. Respectively.

    the completion rating

It involves customer service reps and time. However, the correct way is arduous. Furthermore, it will be difficult for the courier. Especially as an incomplete delivery. This is one way a completion rating can fall below 100%. Additionally, errors can impact the completion rating.

For example an alcohol delivery that has the incorrect address. This can impact the rating. Just because it is aka the easy rating, doesn’t mean it’s always easy. Stay safe out there.
