The timing of the scheduled delivery for improved quality
The scheduled delivery is unlike any other delivery type. There are alcohol deliveries and pet supply deliveries. Additionally there are grocery deliveries and prescription deliveries from a pharmacy. And the list continues to grow as more merchants join the at home delivery market. With all these different types of deliveries, it’s easy to forget one of the first delivery types available.
If the first thing that came to mind was the completed delivery, congratulations, you are a courier. However, for the purpose of this article, it is the scheduled delivery. It has been around since the beginning. Furthermore, not every delivery request is for asap. Sometimes a delivery customer needs more flexibility with the drop-off of the delivery items. For example, the delivery customer has a gathering planned, and needs the food to arrive at a certain time.
In the example above, the order takes place ahead of time. Therefore, when the offer hits the queue, the merchant is already on it. This means the courier has a limited amount of time to get to the pickup location. From the moment of acceptance, the scheduled delivery is all about timing.
The timing of the scheduled delivery
The scheduled delivery is a matter of timing throughout the delivery. From the scheduled arrival at the merchant (pickup) location, to the scheduled confirmation of the pickup, it’s all about timing. Furthermore, the process moves in a linear way, to the goal. Which is the drop-off. At the exact, scheduled time. This is when the scheduled delivery, becomes the on time delivery.

Although it may appear to be straight forward, it is actually a multi step process involving several different professionals. There is the scheduling delivery app. There is the merchant and staff. And finally, there is the courier. Everyone has a part to play, in the scheduled delivery. Furthermore, the timing is how everyone stays on the same page.
Without proper timing one, or all, of the professionals will be waiting. Similarly, the courier can only affect the areas of the delivery that involve the courier. This is where the different aspects of the scheduled delivery are reliant upon the timing. Furthermore, this is easily achieved by sticking to the schedule with careful observation of the clock.
The Improved Quality
Improving the quality of every delivery is the goal of the courier. Moreover a quality customer service experience, generates positive customer feedback. This in turn makes it easier to improve the quality of every delivery. No matter which stage of the delivery the courier is in, with accurate timing, the scheduled delivery will flow.
Similarly each stage of the delivery is a system of bringing about the drop-off at the desired time. It is a system that has an experienced history. And merchants are able to prioritize the delivery request. Furthermore, the scheduling of the drop-off becomes the business of the delivery app. Not only are the current delivery times monitored, but also the schedule is prioritized. Stay safe out there.
