The timed delivery, how to best the hustle

Deliveries are the best part of being a courier. The delivery process is simple and easy to learn for anyone with a solid work ethic. It is the work ethic, that brings about the consistency needed, to make money doing the work. In other words, it takes a lot of miles, to make money completing deliveries.

With this in mind, it is a true statement that every little bit helps. Especially in a competitive situation. Therefore, because a merchant is in the mix, the crew courier benefits. With the timed delivery.

The merchant involvement ensures there will be a standard of pay the courier receives. Regardless of tip collected. This type of environment is a prosperous one for the courier. Furthermore, it keeps the courier paid and employed. There are no such guarantees with a delivery app. The delivery apps are all about hustle. Furthermore, the courier using a delivery app, is working in the self employed category.

    The timed delivery

With each offer accepted the courier agrees to a software generated idea of timeliness. The delivery app (depending on the one being used) has its own parameters for timely completions. Furthermore, there are many possible things that can slow a delivery. The greatest one of these, in my experience, is merchant involvement.

Therefore, anything a courier can do, to come in ahead of those ratings, is a benefit for the courier. Here are a couple of tips that will help improve the actual time spent completing a delivery. These are exclusively for helping with the delivery apps.

    The timed delivery

Check in ahead of time. Once the courier is within range, confirm arrival. The range is further out than the front door of the business. It is possible to click the arrived button the moment the courier arrives in the parking lot. There is no need to wait for store entry.

Additionally, leave at the door drop-offs, handed directly to the customer, still need a picture. In fact, there is an option for handing it directly to the customer. However, the option does not remove the original request for no contact delivery. The delivery is easier to dispute because there isn’t proof the courier completed the delivery.

    Get the proof

Take the picture. It makes it harder to scam the courier. I take a picture of the front door after I hand it to the customer. Then I send the picture, and mark the delivery complete. Now everyone knows the courier was there. This is a start for tips on how to best the hustle. More on the way soon. Stay safe out there.
