The sudden, end of the weekend rush, drop-off
The weekend has been stellar! There are still two hours left in the Sunday night rush. And it’s looking like this day will finish strong. With so much time left in the evening, the results should be good. There is also still time for more runs.
On any given night shift, this would be the positive outlook. Furthermore, the philosophy is sound. Except for the one night of the week where all bets are off. On this night the chances of an early end are the greatest of any other night of the week. Including Monday!🙂
Not only is this a natural thing but also not set in stone. It’s the most likely night to fizzle out early. Furthermore it’s a weekend night. Sunday night to be exact.
End of the Weekend
Sunday night yields a mixture of delivery types. The night itself is a mixture of types. In many cases there is work or school the following morning. While the night is a weekend night, it is at the end of the weekend.
With this in mind, some are trying to enjoy every last minute of the weekend. There is also much preparation for the week ahead. Many households are getting ready for school activities the next morning. Additionally, many parents have work the following morning.
After an entire weekend of rest and relaxation it’s time to put the brakes on. Not only is it time to plan ahead, but also start preparing to make those plans happen. Most everyone’s focus shifts to the week ahead. Families get things done early.
Furthermore, since it is Sunday, professionals are bowing out early too. The first of the workweek is fresh in mind as they do. The effect this can have on a rush is noticeable. And it comes on suddenly.
Rush Drop-off
It can absolutely feel like a sudden drop-off. The courier is expecting the volume of offers and opportunities to carry on into the late evening. As the rush does. However, the evening fizzles out.
This is an event that has Sunday written all over it. Not only does this happen for the solo courier but also the crew courier. Furthermore, it’s famous for happening earlier than expected.
This is why starting early on Sundays is such a good strategy. With this in mind the courier will have the best chances to counter the sudden, end of the weekend rush, drop-off. Stay safe out there.
