The long way around; the coveted tier of access
Couriers and deliveries are a match made on the road. Somewhere between the double yellow lines, and the shoulder, is the courier’s workstation. This is one part of the road match, and location is another part.
With this in mind, it can be said that a delivery has multiple parts. From a crew perspective, the delivery has steps to complete, before completion. There is a process. Furthermore the process is static. Only the details change, from job to job.
The details include delivery locations and directions. Not only locations and route help but also details on the cargo. How much cargo, accessories to the cargo, and additional requests, are all included in cargo checklists. We are still focusing on a crew environment.
Tier of access
There are givens with the crewed delivery. Firstly, there will be a system to expedite the deliveries. Secondly the system used to expedite will be balanced. Equal access to deliveries on a turn by turn basis, is the idea.

The crew courier can see upcoming deliveries on the dispatch board. Not only individual deliveries, but also deliveries assigned to other crew couriers. This time the deliveries on the board look like a good series. Based on the courier’s knowledge of the area the series should be a prosperous one.
Deliveries with a crew, is the same ball game, but in a different park. The solo courier isn’t privy to other courier’s offers. Furthermore the solo courier isn’t working with a team. A crew helps keep delivery times at a minimum. Faster times.
The solo courier is also striving for faster times. As a result the courier unlocks levels. Unlocking levels, creates opportunities for solo couriers. For example, the gold tier in the Ubereats app. It is one step up from pro green. It is a bonus for the courier. Stay tuned for upcoming articles with insights on perks and advancement in the apps.
