Delivery apps are an open source of deliveries for couriers. Furthermore they have checks and balances. These assist the courier in completing deliveries in a safe and timely manner.

With the advent of delivery apps and the sidehustle, deliveries have more interest than ever. Almost anyone can take on deliveries and make a go of it. Not only is it a good sidehustle, but also a good full time pursuit.

With this being said, there is still an aspect of running deliveries that is often overlooked. It is one of the most important, and it is the courier’s safety. This is so important.

Dynamic delivery

Between pickup locations and dropoff locations, the courier sees a lot of different places. Safety is a priority in every phase of the delivery process. Having a sense of mindfulness is a benefit to the courier.

With so many different types of deliveries, and so many varied merchant locations, it is a given the courier will encounter unusual situations. It’s not a matter of if, but when, it will happen. This makes each delivery a dynamic delivery.

Things like an address change after the cargo has been picked up, is a good example of unusual. This particular example will have occurred in-app, if it is legit. An address change outside the app is not possible for the courier to complete in-app.

The apps also have safety features for the courier to use. If the courier feels concerned about safety in the delivery, they are there to help the courier. Safety is important. It is a top priority.

In-app is important

There are times that the dropoff location will contact the courier and request special procedures. This is when being safety conscious is important.

Some of these requests can be for additional items from the current delivery, this type of request is usually done in-app. However, some are for additional items not in the current run.

Courier discretion is warranted. Every step of the delivery, including pay, is handled in-app. Not only is this a best practice, but also a safety conscious approach to delivering cargo. Keep it in-app.

A courier will have a greater chance to safely increase earnings by staying on point, and keeping every part of the delivery in-app. Stay safe out there.
