The delays and cancellations of the full moon delivery
There are times when it happens out of the blue. And then sometimes it is a matter of necessity. However, a canceled delivery isn’t a normal delivery completion. In fact, it is an unexpected outcome. Cancellations happen for various reasons. Similarly, they usually happen before the courier has picked up the delivery cargo.
That is the tipping point in the delivery. Once the delivery cargo is in the courier’s care, the delivery moves forward. Until completed. Unless there’s a full moon. In the event of the full moon, everything changes. Then, delays and cancellations are on the table. They are also in the air tonight. In fact, on the night of the full moon, anything goes. From better than expected, to off the rails. Anything can happen. Especially, delays and cancellations.
There are more than a few supernatural stories about the full moon. In fact, the old timers know many of them. Are they true? Sometimes it’s tough to believe they’re not. Especially considering the uptick in odd happenings, on full moon nights. For example, the hidden drop-off location that is in plain sight. Or the reversed delivery directions. Some of these things might have a perfectly logical explanation. Indeed, maybe so.
Delays and Cancellations
A full moon may or may not play a part in a delivery delay. According to some Google research, the full moon can influence many different things. Not the least of which is sleep. And in some cases moods. Maybe this is like the butterfly effect. Or maybe it’s a lunar cycle that influences more than the night. Perhaps this is why delays and cancellations seem to spike during the full moon.

With this in mind, it may sound like the full moon is a bad thing for delivery. However, it is actually a bonus for delivery. For example, the additional light at midnight. Not only does it help on the road, but also those dark front yards. So, not every aspect of the delays and cancellations of deliveries, can be blamed on the full moon. Unless it feels better to do so. Then it’s okay, because the moon probably doesn’t care.
The thing about delays and cancellations, is to not allow a setback, to slow the roll. Cancellations are rare. If and when they happen there can be some compensation. This is determined by the app. Furthermore, there is some requirement of time invested in order to receive any partial payouts. This isn’t how it goes with delivery delays. It is a different story with delivery delays.
The Full Moon Delay
Delivery delays are common. Maybe there are a few more on the night of the full moon. Nevertheless, they can be expected at almost any time. Working through them is one step toward a delivery completion. Whether the delay is at the pickup merchant. Or when the courier is driving in-between merchants, communication is helpful.
The communication keeps the customer in the loop. Particularly with delays. When the customer is aware of delivery delays, it takes a lot of stress out of the wait. It improves the courier’s chances of getting an uptick in the ratings as well. As for the full moon, it was quite a spectacle. An excellent night light, if ever there was one. Stay safe out there.
