The Capone effect on the booze delivery and late night
The season of fall deliveries has arrived and it couldn’t have come at a better time! The summer season is in the books, fall deliveries and the cargo for the deliveries, is front and center.
The season has arrived! With all the holidays that are ahead the alcohol delivery is sure to be one of the top cargo requests. Furthermore, the amount of the requests is sometimes mind boggling.
Once upon a time it wasn’t possible to walk into a store and buy booze. In those days it wasn’t possible to buy booze, legally, anywhere. It was up to the courier to pick up the booze, and get it to the drop off location.
In those days the courier needed someone like Capone, to keep things rolling. Additionally, since things were so dry the courier had to assume some risk. Which usually meant hauling extra cargo.
Loading the trunk and the spare tire compartment with plenty of the illegal libation was a given. Since it was so rare and dangerously illegal, the loading of more cargo for the next stop in the run, was also a given.
It is possible to stock up heavy on those deliveries, because they are in such high demand. Additionally, when the courier is making multiple trips to pick up and load booze, it’s possible the Capone effect is happening!
Late Night
Late night deliveries are happening and are also in demand. This work takes place after the normal rush window closes. It is also possible to have an increase in offers as the time gets later.
Predicting the type of deliveries that will occur in the late hours is also possible. Furthermore, it correlates with the merchants that have later operating hours.
One caveat to keep in mind, is the surge in demand as the time gets later. As the amount of open merchants decreases through the night, the level of crowd at open merchants increases, exponentially.
The late night scene is not what it was a few years ago, but it is slowly returning to those levels. In the meantime, stay safe out there.
