    The better weekend delivery run

    The better weekend delivery run

Working five days a week is fine. Also working five days a week is a normal work week for some. Then comes the weekend. Then after the weekend, it’s back to the five day grind. The following week is more of the same.

This typical work week, is the standard forty hour work week. After Friday at five in the afternoon, the weekend begins. Once the weekend starts the workweek is far from recent memory. Especially if there is a margarita involved.

This is not the case with the courier. In fact the courier is simply in the middle of the workweek, on a Saturday at noon. Furthermore, the real hustle starts later Saturday night. In the dinner rush. The weekend is a work week unto itself.

Weekends are also week beginnings for those working in the service industry. Additionally, the service industry is in its peak demand during the weekend. Those with the standard five day work week schedule, are seeking ways to relax over the weekend break. Enter the service industry.

This is the essence of the weekend work week. For the Monday through Friday work crowd, the weekend is downtime. Couriers and other service industry workers see the weekend as prime time for work. In fact one of the best qualifications for courier work with a merchant, is the willingness to work the weekends.

With this in mind the solo courier will benefit by following suit. Weekends have the highest demand for deliveries. And as a result, couriers. The courier benefits from the weekend rush, and the increase in overall earnings opportunities.

Furthermore, most merchants that are hiring couriers for full, or part time work, consider weekend work a necessary job qualification. It is not unusual to be asked about weekend availability first, in a courier job interview. (Pro tip: The desired answer is always yes I can.)

This is the essence of the better weekend delivery run. Working on the weekends. Particularly at the busiest times. This is when the courier will see the best possible opportunities to increase earnings. Stay safe out there.
