The best delivery and how to make it routine
It was a better than average delivery. Good pay, short distance, no wait. An ideal scenario for the solo courier. Everything went like clockwork. Except for that little incident at the light. However, it was only a close call. Nowhere near as worrisome as that little merging problem at seventy miles an hour. Besides, the delivery was on time. What does traffic safety have to do with the best delivery?
If this internal dialogue sounds familiar, congratulations on surviving the close call. It usually happens when the hustle is so fast there’s no other choice than to take a risk. Or two. However, the best delivery doesn’t rely exclusively on speed. In fact, it’s possible to out maneuver most traffic situations. Particularly if the courier is up to date on local road conditions.
Local road conditions include, but are not limited to, road construction. Lane closures. As well as traffic accidents and delays. There is also the layout of the land. This is where the courier makes up for speed, with road strategy. Knowing the details of a route makes all the difference. For example, rush hour traffic. It flows in one main direction in the morning. And then it flows in the other direction when it’s late afternoon. Usually around five o’clock.
The Best Delivery
With this in mind, creating a workable road strategy is ideal for the courier. Knowing which roads to avoid at particular times is a classic strategy. Furthermore, it means the courier doesn’t have to haul ass at every turn. Or down every straightaway. It’s the same as pushing maximum speed just to get around that one, annoying, slow driver. Only to end up ten car lengths behind that annoying slow driver.

That isn’t bad luck. That’s a road strategy at work. Excessive speed isn’t helpful from red light to red light. In fact, it wastes resources like fuel. Likewise, it creates excessive wear. On things like brake rotors, and throttle body assemblies. As well as tires, and the motor. Just to name a few. Therefore, the best delivery can be associated with careful navigation.
Of course a little hustle is not a bad thing. It’s when things get extreme, that time is actually lost, rather than gained. Furthermore, it can be said that the best delivery has a flow. And a mindset that aligns with deliberate observation. In other words, the hustle of the best delivery, is zen. It doesn’t have to be forced to be quick and timely. This is how to make the best delivery routine. And on time. Stay safe out there.
