    The best courier services are customer friendly

    Couriers have a busy occupation. There are details, road rules, and more details. There are decisions to make, and no time to spare. And all of this leads to running on empty much of the time. Sometimes it’s a calculated risk to forego a fuel stop. Every courier knows a stop in the middle of a run is best avoided. Delays on a live run have a way of growing. Exponentially.

    With this in mind, communication is one of the best tools for avoiding long delays. For example, it’s important for the courier to have contact with the customer. As early in the delivery as possible. It doesn’t have to be a professional greeting. In fact, a simple polite greeting, goes a long way. Experienced couriers send a courtesy message, early in the delivery. This is usually at, or just before, the arrival at the pick-up location.

    The dispatch courier for the better delivery

    Contact with the customer is important for a couple of reasons. The first is to establish a communication channel. There are many things that can happen at a pick-up location. Lost orders, or accidentally canceled orders. Sometimes misplaced orders, or handed out to a previous courier, orders. However, most of the time, the merchant has run out of an item the customer ordered. Or discontinued it. Now the merchant wants to offer the customer a substitute.

    The above scenario happens often. Furthermore, the courier is the only point of contact. In this situation. It is not possible for the merchant to contact the delivery customer. This is because they don’t have the contact information. The courier is the one, with one on one access. Therefore, only the courier, can relay important information. Having an open dialogue, or communication medium, is valuable for both the courier and the customer.

    This is also a professional mark. For example, the courier encounters a traffic jam. It will be longer than five minutes but less than ten. Hopefully. The question is, does it matter for the at home customer? A ten minute traffic delay can grow exponentially. By the time the delivery is complete, it is a fifteen minute loss. Meanwhile the at-home customer is waiting.

    Furthermore, the courier dot on the map, is at a standstill. This is when the best courier services really count. A customer friendly courier, will be a busy courier. Stay safe out there.
