The best 20 dollar an hour solo courier for sale
Every courier and delivery driver has an interest in moving quickly. Because it saves time and maximizes earnings. Also it’s possible for the courier to actively influence earnings. In fact, a more appropriate description of courier pay would be a sliding scale.
Not only can a courier’s pay fluctuate, but also it can fluctuate dramatically. In one hour. Several of the delivery apps advertise the possibility of $20 an hour for the courier. For completing deliveries. Clearly, $20 an hour is an attractive prospect. However, is this really true?
Is it really possible to knock down $20 an hour, or more, delivering cargo? Furthermore, if it’s true, why are so many couriers struggling to make ends meet?
Best 20 Dollar
That is a couple of good questions that have real answers. Similarly, the answers are a good part of what this site is about. From my very recent experience, it is possible to make the $20 an hour mark. It is possible. However, it’s not even probable if the courier isn’t alert and actively working the scene.
There are only so many minutes in an hour. In order for the courier to make twenty dollars in one hour, certain things need to happen. The first of these is deliveries. It isn’t impossible for the courier to get a $20 delivery at the start of the hour.
If every hour were like that, most everyone would be couriers. With this being said, it stands to reason the courier will need two deliveries completed, in the hour, to achieve the pay. This is when being selective and having a strategy matters.
It is not fiscally smart to accept every offer that comes from the app. Some of the offers are so bad, even the app knows it. Realistically one delivery will take twenty minutes, under the very best of circumstances. And it’s best to estimate thirty.
Solo Courier
The courier must pay attention to the offers coming in. This is the way to selectively set up the work for each hour. If the courier accepts an offer that is a greater distance away, the chances of getting another completion in the same hour, are lessened.
This is why the sliding scale. Because it’s possible to accept the best delivery and still be delayed. That does away with the two delivery an hour scenario. Without the numbers, everything changes. The numbers are bread and butter for the courier.
There are also the expenses the courier must pay from that twenty. Yes, some are taxes. However that can be put off until next…it might be a good idea to set a little aside for taxes too. Looks like that twenty needs to be twenty two. As long as it’s not a catch 22. Stay safe out there.
