The 30 day countdown and why it’s important
The big day has come and gone. It was an excellent holiday for deliveries! This year was even busier than last year! Not only was it busier, but also consistent throughout the day.
The holiday delivery scene does have some predictable elements. Firstly, there is a limited number of open merchants. This is how the courier can manage a larger area, without missing out. It is a given that offers will come from open merchants.
Hovering the areas where the open merchants are located will yield quick results. Furthermore, this technique can be used throughout the holiday. It is also important to keep in mind, that an open merchant in one location, is an open merchant in each location.
The same cannot be said of closed merchants. Therefore, it is worth it to check every time. This applies to merchants with the same branding, respectively.
30 Day Countdown
So what about the thirty day business in the title? What exactly is the 30 day countdown? Also, why is it important? Additionally, how does it help the courier? What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
The thirty day countdown, is the time left, before the Christmas holiday! It is sure to be off the charts busy. On Christmas day as well. The time starts with the blackest of all days! Black friday!
The black friday dinner rush will come earlier than normal fridays. Many people are just getting back home in the early evening. However, the courier should be ready for a late rush, as well.
All of this starts the 30 day countdown. And it’s important because the next thirty days will be extremely busy. Walmart and grocery orders will be on the increase daily. Alcohol orders will also be on the increase, courier diligence will be key.
And to think just three months ago was the beginning of this season! The next 30 days will be the countdown to the biggest holiday of the year! It is possibly the most lucrative 30 days of the courier year!
Starting today, and all through the upcoming days of December, the courier can count on being busy! If the Thanksgiving holiday is any indication of the upcoming level of delivery load, it’s sure to be prosperous. Stay safe out there.
