Running Late in the Afterhours
The summer season is in full swing and the delivery opportunities are on the rise! The days are long and the nights are busier, and then there are the afterhours.
There are several rush windows that occur on a daily basis. During these windows the volume of available offers increases. This is known as a rush. There is one for each meal time of the day.
That is to say, if it’s a three meal kind of day. A courier can take advantage of each of these rush windows or stick to a particular plan.
That covers the basic three, but there is another rush that is beginning to take shape, now that summer is officially here.
Afterhours
The dinner rush occurs between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. The available delivery offers increase during these times and often happen back to back.
Once the dinner rush has ended and the delivery queue is clear, the courier can take a break.
This is also when the after hours rush will begin.
Just after sunset.
The after hours rush can go well into the night, but it doesn’t have the same volume as the dinner rush.
Running Late
Couriers will have the opportunity to accept offers late into the night. The only limitations are the open merchants.
There are several advantages to late deliveries that are not available in other rush times. Less traffic and cooler temps, just to name a couple. Stay safe out there!
