New courier safety with a look at the basics
It has been quite a busy holiday season. From pet supplies to groceries, the courier has been moving cargo almost nonstop. If a courier reading this has just completed their first holiday season, kudos. Every courier should get a level up just for dealing with all the holiday traffic this year.
With this in mind, the delivery scene felt busier than usual this year. There were many deliveries, and delivery opportunities. In fact, it is always a positive when the wheels are turning. This applies to the courier, or any driver making money while traveling the miles. Furthermore, if there is an abundance of delivery opportunities, then it must mean the courier is seeing some action.
The action is all about deliveries. Similarly it’s all about courier safety. Especially new courier safety. Many of the articles on this site are written from the perspective of experience. It’s easier to talk about standing at the door of a stranger’s house, in the dark, when one has been there. Time and time again. However, it is also easy to take for granted, how it feels to do it for the first time.

For the courier that believes in being prepared, a reactive safety plan, is not the best.
