More With Extreme Deliveries
Merchants that are accustomed to large order deliveries, keep delivery accessories on site. Catering and large order deliveries, are high value deliveries. Not only prosperous, but also a bonus. With this in mind, the best extreme delivery is the easily handled delivery.
Carts, heat bags, and trays are just a few of the delivery items a crew courier will need. Beverages are always possible in large deliveries. Think coolers, and ice. Furthermore, napkins and meal accessories, will be part of the delivery. For example, utensils and straws.
Accessories are helpful. In addition, the courier can do more in less time. This insight or train of thought, is where the challenge comes into play. Getting everything from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Without a spill.
Indeed the entire process is a matter of time. Or timing. However, point A to point B in this example, means from the ride to the table. Occasionally, this is easier said than done. For example, an office building delivery. And elevators.
The Challenge
Parking close to the entrance of the building is the goal. It isn’t always possible. Therefore the courier may be walking the cart. From here the cart is loaded. Depending on the size of the delivery, the cart may be packed full. Furthermore, there might be a second trip. Or third.
Next the courier will navigate lobbies and hallways. With the cart. Keeping the cargo balanced and intact is key. Especially on and off elevators. Every building is a little different. Sometimes its more elevators. Other times it’s the dreaded steps. The no go zone for the cart.
Once the courier has cleared the cart, the extreme delivery is over. Unless there is a second trip. Don’t forget the second trip. Stay safe out there.
