Mid summer season check in big changes on the way
The heat is on and the summer season is well underway. There are more than a few days of summer left. In fact, there is still plenty of time for a great summer vacation. If a vacation isn’t in the near future, the next season will be soon. For the courier, that is a clear signal the window of opportunity is opening. However, this opportunity is one of preparation.
An opportunity is a bonus. Furthermore, it can be just the thing that turns an average evening into an earnings bonanza. But how does that relate to the summer season? Wasn’t it just a short time ago that the summer season officially began? The answer is yes, in linear terms. However, in seasonal terms, the summer season might as well be half over. And closing fast.

With this in mind, it’s about getting ahead of things. It’s nearing the end of July. Before long it will be August. Several things happen in August. One of them is the football countdown. In other words, with August comes football. Not only does this mean crowds and traffic, but also an uptick in business volume. Similarly, there will be school zones and crossing guards. And this is just the beginning of the big changes on the way.
Mid Summer Season Check In
It might feel premature to think about these events while it’s still July. And under ordinary circumstances that might be true. However, since when are the courier’s circumstances ordinary? The summer season can take a toll on the ride. Regular maintenance is a best practice. Likewise, in-between check ups, are an even better practice. For example, those areas where fluids are needed. Even the ride needs to stay hydrated.

For those who are not mechanically inclined the owner’s manual of the vehicle has a guide on basic maintenance. The owner’s manual for the ride is something that every courier should be versed in. It is a helpful guide for finding the fluid reservoirs and the correct types of fluids. Other areas for a checkup are the wiper blades, brake pads and air filters. The interior cabin air filter included. The owner’s manual of the ride should have detailed info on the location of the air filter. If not, Youtube likely does.
Big Changes Ahead
While going down the list of mid season maintenance tasks, might as well check all the lights. Blinkers and specialty lights such as brake lights or back up lights. These are all things on the Fall maintenance list. However, a mid summer season check in is just like that old saying. The one about an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure.
Summer seasons driving, is a different kind of wear and tear on a vehicle. Some argue that the hot weather is better for the ride. Others say the cold weather is the key. Whatever school one subscribes to, it’s hard to ignore the benefits of a mid-season maintenance check in. Similarly the roads will soon change in the sense of traffic and the traffic schedule.
This means schools and buses will be active. Therefore, the roads will be more congested. Particularly at sunrise. Furthermore, in some places, this will be happening soon. August is only ten days away. And the Fall season is right on the heels of that. That’s why a mid summer season check in is so helpful. It’s the, once over, that keeps things running smoothly through the home stretch. With the approach of August, that home stretch is just days away from starting. Stay safe out there.
