January freeze and the best late night delivery tips

January freeze and the best late night delivery tips

January is well underway. The winter weather is in full swing across much of the land. Additionally, the later in the evening it gets, the colder it gets. Consequently, it’s preferable to be indoors, out of the severe cold.

With this in mind, many people choose a delivery on a cold and inhospitable night. When the courier does the driving, it opens the way for a warm evening at home, for the drop-off location. Furthermore, the drop-off location is able to quickly order, and set up, the delivery.

The convenience and overall ease, of ordering delivery, is appealing. Especially on a cold night. Furthermore, there will likely be more deliveries than usual. Weather advisories and related events trigger an increase in delivery requests. Therefore the courier will be busy.

When the sun goes down, so do the temperatures. This is something the courier can prepare for. Dressing the part is important. In other words, winter clothes. Not only is it the warmer way, but also being prepared. Just in case of extended exposure to the elements.

Additionally, I like to keep at least one extra jacket and one blanket in the trunk. Along with extra road flares, or the equivalent. Tire chains and gloves are also great additions for the trunk. Similarly a few more helpful items for the trunk are warm hats and scarves.

These items and more are helpful on cold, late night deliveries. For example, a full tank of gas. Or a full charge on the battery, for an EV. Similarly phone chargers, and a fully charged phone, are a top priority. There are many options for back up batteries as well.

This is the theme of the best late night delivery tips. Plenty of backups. Anything to stay warm in a January freeze. Stay safe out there.
