It’s all in the drive not the data
Sometimes the road is fun. Other times it is a dangerous place of chaos. All the time, it’s a test of experienced skill and reaction time. Some people use the road to get to and from work, or appointments. Others use the road for work. Therefore, it is common for the ones using the road for work, to spend a lot of time on the road. For example, the courier. The amount of time a courier spends behind the wheel is above average.
With this in mind, it is important for the courier to be alert and in a well maintained vehicle. That is the ideal set up. Furthermore, it comes from preparation. The well maintained vehicle is an example of road preparation. Maintenance is best when consistent. An ongoing daily check up with the ride, keeps things in perspective. It also means the courier is more likely to know what that strange noise is, while cruising down the highway.
That strange noise. It is with the courier on every delivery. Reappearing at will. And then gone again, as mysteriously as it came. However, the prepared courier is aware of the general location of the noise. Sometimes that’s about as good as it gets. And that’s one reason why regular maintenance is so important in the drive. In fact, the maintenance of the ride is the data a courier needs to keep the ride in the best possible shape.
It’s All In The Drive
Couriers rely on their vehicles the way a carpenter relies on the hammer. The ride is the paycheck as well as the way home. Additionally the vehicle is the courier’s home away from home. Many drivers feel this way about their vehicle. Couriers also see the ride as an office where business takes place. However, it isn’t always all business. There are more than a few perks to driving. The scenery is one perk that is not only free, but also available to all drivers.
In fact, most couriers enjoy driving. It is more than a chore or perilous event to these couriers. It is the very essence of freedom to be gliding along the road. The wind creates a cooling breeze and the miles click away, as the horizon leads the journey. Perhaps there are some seriously good tunes on the radio. Maybe the road is heavy with other travelers. Maybe the road is deserted and the courier is the sole traveler.
Whatever the case may be, there is a reason the courier enjoys the road. It is the essence of traveling and by that standard the courier inspires the drive. Furthermore, it means the data is in the wheel. At least as far as the courier is concerned. There is always an advantage to freshening up on the basics.
The Data
There is much to be said for the data. It tells a story too. Maybe a clinical, or abstract story, but a story nonetheless. Of course there will likely be conflicts of interest. For example, trying to save a squirrel by slamming on the brakes. Or swerving to avoid colliding with a jumpy frog who is obviously on a mission of love. It could be anything because it’s the road and the road can be a dangerous place of chaos. And a challenging place to drive. Stay safe out there.
