Holiday season delivery and better stats for the run
It’s that time of year again. The best time of year. The holiday season. It is an exciting time of year for many. Couriers become busier and busier, as the season unfolds. The cooler temperatures mean staying indoors is a great idea! Let a courier do the driving. Additionally, there are things like seasonal projects and groceries and pet supplies. The change in the weather is just the beginning. The holiday season delivery scene is here at last.
With this in mind, the increase in activity means an increase in those ever important delivery details. The increase is a result of the hustle and bustle of the new season. Almost everyone wants to save time. Furthermore, almost everyone appreciates the convenience of a delivery. Therefore, it is a popular service. However an increase in business doesn’t always mean ratings, or stats, reflect the same.
In fact, an increase in business can have the opposite effect on the stats of the courier. For example, stacked deliveries. Or, backlogged merchants. The backlogged merchants, will take additional time. So will a stacked delivery. Sometimes, that extra time, is just enough to push the courier over the edge of the ratings. In other words, the courier gets a worse rating because the delivery was late.
Holiday Season Delivery
A late arrival by the courier is not the best service model. Couriers are notorious for being speedy and quick. Therefore, they are well suited for the extremes of holiday traffic. They are also gaining valuable experience with each successive delivery. Similarly this is how new couriers learn.
However, the holiday season can feel like a nonstop dinner rush at times. Likewise there is a constant sense of hustle for the courier. With this hustle comes even more opportunities. And then even more details to track. And keep track of. This includes those ever present ratings. While it would be nice to set them aside while the business gets done, that is unlikely to happen.
Both crew courier, and solo courier, deal with ratings. Similarly, they work to achieve positive ratings. In a delivery app, the ratings are important in different ways. Additionally they can be different from app to app. And while there are no stats, or ratings, for a holiday season delivery, there is the delivery completion. Likewise, there is that holiday customer service pay.
Better Stats for the Run
The holiday customer service pay is the potential earnings a courier can achieve with attentive and professional customer service. This has the potential to increase when the holiday season arrives. The courier can influence this with hustle, and an above average customer service approach.
Another technique of the experienced courier, is working holidays. There is a greater chance of delivery quality, when there is less competition, to the delivery. Therefore, working on a holiday, can actually decrease the amount of details the courier must track. While being tracked. This in turn, becomes a benefit for the delivery customer. The courier benefits because the service provided, could be tip worthy. More on this expansive topic in upcoming articles. Stay safe out there.
