Couriers who complete deliveries on holidays, experience another facet of the delivery game. In fact, holiday deliveries do have unique aspects. Particularly when compared to typical delivery days.

For example, extremely light traffic. This can be a welcome relief. Additionally, it improves arrival times. In this scenario the courier is able to go across town, within a few minutes. Also, almost every offer from the queue, is competitive.

Which, is another unique aspect of holiday delivery. There are only certain merchants open for business. Usually, brands have advertised holiday hours, weeks in advance. Likewise, when they are closed.

This is when delivery accuracy matters greatly. Getting the right cargo, to the right location, can be all the difference in potential earnings. There is also the savings in time when deliveries go well. However, that same time crunch isn’t as noticeable on the holidays.

Furthermore, it is just as easy to overlook small details. Especially, when there’s less stress than normal. The urge will be to move faster. There is less traffic. Move faster. There are less patrons hustling and bustling. Move faster.

Better results

The temptation to move as fast as possible, is real. Each courier wants to take advantage of better conditions. However, this is where the opportunity for mistakes, also thrives. That one forgotten drink. The additional napkins. The ones requested in the special request area. These small details can quickly become a not so great delivery experience.

Similarly, the drop-off location has an experience that is less than festive. A holiday delivery is a bonus because of the convenience. However, missed details can turn a convenience, into a poor customer experience. Every time. Stay safe out there.
