Holiday Deliveries and Pain at the Pump

Holiday Deliveries and Pain at the Pump

The summer season is nearing its end! The heat has definitely lessened and the roads are busier than ever!

With all those busy roads, and all the traveling, comes the all too familiar stop at the gas pump. Maybe a better term is the all too painful stop at the pump.

Additionally, the heat wasn’t the only thing that was merciless these days. The price of a gallon of gas has increased considerably over the last few months. Furthermore, this trend doesn’t look like it’s changing any time soon.

Therefore, this trend of higher fuel prices creates a dilemma for a courier. Rising prices means rising costs, more cost is usually helped with more earnings. However, with these prices, every little bit helps.

There are several ways to save money when it comes to the gas pump. Indeed, some are as simple as downloading an app. Others involve a little elbow grease. In addition, there is also a Tesla.

    Maintenance

The ‘M’ word. It’s easy to overlook but best when done regularly. Furthermore, maintenance done regularly is still a top way to maintain good fuel efficiency.

There are several items that can be done without the assistance of a mechanic. Air filters and tire air pressure are good basic places to start. Both can have adverse effects on fuel efficiency, when they are in need of attention.

Apps are another way to save money on fuel fill ups. They can range from discounted gas to cash back for money spent on gas. A quick Google search can yield a wealth of possible apps to choose from.

I personally am trying the Upside app. It offers cash back on gas and food. There are many to choose from and each can help with the pain at the pump.

    Holiday

Holiday deliveries are still one of the best times to be a courier and driver. Not only are they unpredictable but also positive earnings events.

The upcoming Holiday season is no exception! Most holidays are guaranteed all day events for couriers. The rush is always unpredictable on a holiday and can happen at any time or the whole day.

The anticipation for the holiday season is evident in the increased business! As the summer season winds down, there will be more seasonal holidays to enjoy, all while sticking those runs! Stay safe out there!
