Following the Paycheck Money Trail
Welcome back and what a good day for being on the road. The season is changing and the wonders and hustle of the winter months are in the rear view.
The weather is changing which means the roads are changing, and all of this changes the courier for hire work as well. Season changes have an effect on more than just the weather.
Considering all the preparation ahead, for a sure to be extreme summer season, it is a good time to take a look at some of the ways the apps pass out that green.
We’ll take a look at two of the big name apps and their methods of getting the courier paid. These methods are similar across apps.
Doordash
One of the benefits of being a courier is pay in pocket at the end of the day. Waiting for payday is as easy as waiting for the end of the shift. On the way home, gas up the ride and go by the grocery store for the fam.
The Doordash system requires a personal bank account, and the courier can choose to be paid weekly or daily. The bank account must be able to accept ACH transfers for weekly direct deposits.
Daily wire transfers have a fee and can only be used once daily. Recently the dasher card was introduced and has advantages over the daily wire transfer, such as no fees and more than one transfer daily.
Uber
Uber has the same requirements in the bank account area. The account must be able to receive ACH transfers. There is weekly direct deposit for couriers that prefer lump sums.
The advantage with Uber is the daily pay out. It is available up to five times in a single day. The fee is reasonable and does apply for each transfer.
This is especially useful on long tour days. Staying supplied while delivering supplies is golden! Plus, the transfer is immediate, which means no waiting. Now we’re talking courier business! Stay safe out there!
