Falling into the groove with that early sundown move
Falling into the groove. That is a good way to describe the new season of deliveries. After a long, hot summer of deliveries, the new season is right on time.
Furthermore, the list of available merchants, that are open late, continues to grow. This has a positive impact on the delivery scene as a whole.
Those late night delivery opportunities, are gradually picking up, in volume. The list of merchants that are fully staffed, and ready for normal business hours, is also growing daily.
Into the Groove
This means more opportunities for the courier. Not only with regular deliveries, but also the later, after the rush deliveries. This might look like a slow down in the volume of opportunities, when in fact it is a bonus.
As the frequency of offers increases to meet demand, the courier will have more choices to make and to choose from. Therefore, it is important for the courier to be diligent with the details.
The most important detail work, is to collect all the items included in the cargo list. Cargo that arrives incomplete, or with missing items, is not cool.
It is important to double check the items on the cargo list. Likewise, asking questions about cargo is important. Where is it going? What additional items are to be picked up? Is that all of the cargo? And so forth.
Early Sundown
Another important aspect of the new season of deliveries, is the stack. It is a multiple offer delivery, and can be an excellent opportunity, when accepted.
It is not uncommon to run stacks on every run. In fact, it is a given on some nights, in the rush. A stack can feel intimidating but it is the same as any delivery. It is back to back deliveries.
A stack is also a situation, to be sure to double check the details, for all the items. This will keep the courier ahead of the competition, and on the path to the best completion. Stay safe out there.
