Driveway and tow truck how to save money with hazard lights
This one is risky. In fact, it is so risky that the bottom of the driveway can’t be seen. The situation is a big unknown. Will there be room to turn around at the bottom? What if there isn’t? Worse yet, what if the ride gets stuck? Similarly there’s a culvert on either side of the narrow opening. Sliding into one of those means a tow truck for sure. Since when did a driveway become such a concern?
This scenario is fairly standard. Furthermore, it occurs in the opposite direction. If the courier is at the foot of the driveway, and the top is not visible, anything could be waiting up there. Maybe there is room to turn around. Maybe there’s just enough room to drive off the edge, while trying to back down that impossible incline. Either way, taking a trip up that grade, is a risky proposition.
With this in mind, there are times when the trip up that grade, (or down that grade) becomes an expensive trip. Furthermore, there is every reason to expect that the cost will exceed the tip. Although this can be a rare occurrence it also can, and has, happened. Navigating an unknown driveway is always a challenge. Doing it in the dark, is the courier’s job.
How to Save Money With Hazard Lights
This brings into question the nighttime deliveries. Highways and city streets are usually well lit at night. So are merchant parking lots. However, the typical driveway is not well lit at night. Additionally, it is not a well known route the courier travels everyday. Which leads to this article on how to save money with hazard lights. And likewise keeping it safe along the way.
The entire concept of saving money is courier friendly. One way the courier can do this is by trying to avoid unnecessary spending. Vehicle expenses and maintenance costs are exorbitant. Adding the cost of a tow truck to the mix, especially if it can be avoided, is a budget buster.
This is where the hazard lights can play a major role. Their design is for unusual or extreme circumstances. When the courier bypasses the driveway parking, for the street parking, it is an extreme circumstance. Using the hazard lights at that time is an excellent safety tip, and practice.
Driveway and Tow Truck
Many times it is far easier to park the ride and walk the cargo in. It is a definite benefit for the courier to park as close as possible, fire up the hazard lights, and take the free cardio. The time saved is significant, almost every time. The rule of thumb is also simple. If it doesn’t look simple in the dark, park on the street, and get that free cardio.
After hitting the hazard lights. The idea is a speedy drop-off. Time spent navigating a difficult driveway, is time that could be spent increasing earnings. Furthermore, we park in driveways, and drive on parkways. That alone should signal the unpredictable nature of the driveway. Stay safe out there.
