Double down after a good returns
Double down is a good way to double up. In delivery driving it’s a positive way to increase earnings. Any system that helps increase earnings is a good system. Including the hustle system.
With this in mind, it is important to remember that not every delivery is a bust. There are times when deliveries pay well. Furthermore, it’s possible to have more than one unexpected good return in an evening of deliveries.
Every courier has been there at one time or another. Long shift, lots of miles, it feels like quitting time. Then an unexpectedly good return! A very large tip from a very small delivery. Now it feels even more like quitting time! This would be a good time to put the brakes on.
Double down
Furthermore, it’s a good feeling to get an above average tip on an easy delivery. Therefore, isn’t it better to end the night on a high note? It feels intuitive to agree, and in some cases it might be a good idea.
However there can also be a benefit when the courier decides to double down after a good return. Similar to riding a wave, the courier can keep the positive earnings track moving forward. Riding the crest of the wave, so to speak.
Another way of looking at it, is striking while the iron is hot. Receiving a large tip is associated with busy times and steady work. Furthermore, the courier’s work is reliant upon busy times. The courier strings together a series of deliveries to create a day’s pay.
With this in mind, a positive event such as a large tip, can be an earnings catalyst. The positive vibes from one good event, can put a positive spin on the rest! This is one of the best reasons to double down after good returns.
