Delivery strategies for the new courier

Delivery strategies for the new courier

Delivering pizza is exciting! Pizza is delicious, and it’s flat. Furthermore, since pizza is flat, it stacks well. Cargo that stacks well, is easily stored, and travels well.

With all the advantages of pizza, it’s no wonder it’s such a delight to deliver. However, not all cargo is as cool as pizza. So, having a strategy for uncooperative cargo, is a good plan.

In fact, having a strategy or a plan for deliveries, is paramount for the courier. Setbacks are a given, strategizing to prevent them, is an excellent way to maximize earnings potential.

Delivery Strategies for the new courier

Experienced couriers will have a developed strategy for completing a series of deliveries, or an entire day’s worth of deliveries.

It could be as detailed as where and when to stop for particular items. Or as simple as filling the tank at the end of the day, so the next day’s start can be quick.

A new courier can use the strategy of staying in a known area. Furthermore, this benefits a new courier in several ways. Timely completions, top among them.

There are many types of deliveries, and being selective, is another strategy. It is important for the solo courier to remember, the app keeps track of the acceptance rating. Therefore, avoid letting that number get too low.

    New Couriers

Only accepting certain kinds of offers, will tune the algorithm to the courier’s preferences. For example, some couriers prefer shop and deliver offers, and only run that type of delivery.

One important strategy is cargo love. This strategy is all about picking up the cargo. There is no delivery until there’s cargo, to deliver. In cases where cargo is still being readied, it is important to stand by your cargo. In short, stand by.

If at all possible don’t let that cargo out of sight. When a pizza emerges from the hot oven, it doesn’t want to sit and wait. Stay safe out there.
