Delivery feedback and better ratings mean happy returns
The rain has been quite a bonus. There’s nothing like a weather event, to stir up an active rush. Even the most unpopular night of the week, can become intensely busy during severe weather.
With this in mind, it is one of the few predictable things, a solo courier can rely on. When there’s weather, there’s going to be a delivery rush. Usually a delivery rush depends on the day of the week. Or the time of the day.
Furthermore, weather events impact more than deliveries. There is also an impact on traffic. Particularly in densely populated areas. Combine that with late evening delivery, and a delivery rush can be guaranteed. This is when delivery feedback is valuable.
Delivery feedback and better ratings mean happy returns
That may seem counter intuitive, however it’s a bonus if there is an option for feedback, or additional information. It can help the app address issues and adjust future settings for improved delivery. And happy returns.
In other words everyone benefits. Customers as well as couriers. Furthermore, the app benefits by having an improved process. One that is appealing to couriers and customers alike. Delivery feedback, happening in real time, is real information.
One good example is the safety questions after certain deliveries. The Door Dash app has these, and they are a feedback opportunity. One happening in real time. Additionally they are multi-faceted. For example, -did you feel safe? Can mean more than just person to person encounters.
There are details like terrain, and proper lighting for the darkness of the night. It’s the details, in real time, that tell. This is also a benefit to other couriers. Especially the feedback for a penalty free unassign. This is a remedy, for a courier waiting on a merchant. One that is well beyond the deadline.
Extra info
The takeaway from this, is the feedback the courier has, may help other couriers. Or help improve a service offered by an app. Therefore, the time invested is worthwhile.
Also, comments are welcome. There will be an upcoming new content alert, however, it will appear in the main blog. It will be a first for this site, so stay tuned for the announcement in future articles. Stay safe out there.
