Delivery details and the best reasons to double check
Delivery details. They can be just about anything. From specific drop-off details, to order details. They are there for a reason, and do matter. Especially the ones that deal with extra sauce packets, or condiments, or napkins and plastic cutlery etc.
Furthermore, item requests are best handled while at the pick-up location. Similarly, the courier will want to know all of the special details before leaving the pick-up location. Not only does this make for a good delivery but also good customer service.
Delivery details
With this in mind, it is important to recheck details. And then again. Additionally, this is a positive habit to get into. Some delivery details are only available later. At certain points in the delivery. For example, specific drop-off details. Or particular instructions.
Perhaps there is a small table beside the large flamingo statue on the porch. Additionally, the delivery details are to leave it on the box. The one next to that flamingo. Not the table. The table is for something else. Furthermore, the courier is never informed of the table’s function.
It’s all about the flamingo anyway.
However, failure to properly place items around a flamingo, can create bad ratings. No need to flamingo around and find out. Furthermore this is an acknowledgement of that fact. How well the courier followed directions, is an actual rating. It counts for customer service.
Additionally it is only one rating or stat. There are several. Depending on the app being used. Delivery details are at the core of them all.
Ratings are important. And helpful. They can be a benefit for the courier, when they are good. Not bad. Therefore, the courier benefits from working to improve. As well as covering the details. However many.
The best reasons to double check
The seal that merchants place on a delivery order is also that, a seal. Although it is a sticker, it is a seal. The courier does not open packages or cargo. There is no circumstance where the courier needs to examine a delivery’s inner workings. The job is to get the package delivered. Quickly. Not examine it.
This is more than preference. It is a principle. Couriers do not open packages. That is for the cargo recipient, or the merchant. Respectively. Stay safe out there.
