Delivery apps to make money, do they really work?
Getting something delivered these days can be as easy as pushing a button. Thanks to a variety of delivery apps, there are a lot of choices for dinner. Sometimes, the toughest decision might be which delivery app to use.
If the delivery is coming from a merchant, with a delivery crew, the choice is easy. However, something special or unique, may only have one delivery option. This means the delivery apps, get a lot of use, and that’s good news for the courier.
With this in mind, many new couriers have questions. For example, how do I know I’m at the right place? Or, what do I do if no one answers the door? Also, what if there’s no doorbell? These are but a few. Many more come to mind, the closer a courier gets to the drop-off. However, not everyone is a courier. And some may wonder about using delivery apps to make money. And, do they work?
Delivery apps to make money
The short answer is yes, they do work. However, it wouldn’t be the complete answer. When it comes to delivery apps, there are more than a few to choose from. The first important thing to consider is what apps are most popular in the courier’s general vicinity. That is as easy as observing the front entry doors to almost any restaurant.
Somewhere on the entry door there is usually a sign announcing deliveries. Sometimes it’s a Doordash sign. Other times it’s an Uber eats sign. Maybe it’s both. Similarly, there may be signs for local delivery companies. This is an effective way to scout for the most popular delivery app, or service, in that area. Additionally, the prospective courier, can get an idea of which apps or services are favored.
One of the positive things about delivery apps, is their reliability. Not only for customers, but also for couriers. Furthermore, their reliability stems from proven over time, use. It takes a lot of late night payouts, and emergency fuel in the boondocks, to learn to trust a delivery app.
Do they really work?
>They really work. Indeed, they work as well as the courier does. In other words, the opportunity is there. It’s up to the hopeful courier, to make it work. Between gauging time invested, and resources invested, it takes more than an afterthought to make money while running a delivery.
Furthermore, breaking even is one thing, making money is another. Therefore, delivery apps are designed to help the courier make informed decisions. And from there the follow through, is up to the courier. Stay safe out there.
