Closed roads and detours, what happens when routes attack?
It’s just ahead on the left. Once there, the turn will bring us within a mile of the destination. A completion will bring the day’s count to a nice even number.
Except for that detour sign! Now things are going to take more time. However, there is a shortcut that will save some time. So, the overall time will be shorter. Saving time.
When the detour is navigated, and the courier is back on the route, it’s time to complete the delivery. After spotting the destination, the route becomes more for finishing up. Until the incredibly, deep, pothole is found. The road attacks.
Closed Roads
It’s a jarring experience and is memorable, especially if it leads to tire repairs. One thing a courier can count on is the need for vehicle maintenance and repair.
This is often due to some condition of the road or just extreme use of the vehicle. With the season changing rapidly, it’s a good time to take some time, for vehicle maintenance.
With the colder air and freezing temperatures, it’s very important to keep the ride stocked on antifreeze and coffee. The coffee is to help the courier with temperatures that are more suited for the vacuum of space. The anti freeze, is for the ride.
A tire kit and a couple of cans of, fix a flat, aerosol for tires. Tire chains, for those living in snow areas. Also road safety flares. This is also an excellent time for lights. Both on the ride and personal safety lights. Safety is important.
All of these things are helpful in times that there are closed roads and detours. Furthermore, when routes attack, it’s good to have the spare parts, and tools needed to keep the ride up and running. This keeps the courier running into those earnings. Stay safe out there.
