Are weekends the best delivery days for the courier?
Weekends should be exciting. They should also be relaxing. After the previous five normal days, the two at the end, should be special. In fact, a normal workweek is the five weekdays. And the weekends are a different thing altogether. Ordinarily, if there is weekend work, it is overtime. Or maybe it is on-call work. Whatever the case may be, most everyone appreciates their weekend downtime.
This doesn’t apply to the courier. The part about appreciating weekend downtime, does. However, couriers are just beginning the workweek, when the weekend starts. In fact, for the courier, the weekend unofficially begins on Friday night. Then it begins again, early Saturday morning. By the time Sunday rolls around, the work week is fully engaged. And Monday has become Friday.
This is actually a positive thing. Monday needed a little boost. Making it an unofficial Friday gives it prestige. Likewise it becomes a day that is celebrated. But, is Monday one of the best delivery days? The answer is definitely relative. However, there’s no better teacher, than personal experience. So anything’s possible. Always.
Are Weekends the best delivery days?
Hiring managers, for delivery merchants, always ask a prospective driver if they are available on the weekends. In other words, is the courier able to work weekends? And if so, the whole weekend is usually the job requirement. This is normal. Furthermore, those who work weekends always get more gifts from Santa. Every year.

This is also an important part of the courier’s earnings potential. The best tipping days are the weekend days. (Not the gifts from Santa) This is when most everyone tries to enjoy some leisure time. Rest and relaxation. Therefore, delivery demand increases on the weekends. Merchants and retailers typically see an increase in demand. Especially on the weekends.
Remember the hiring manager from the example above? The same hiring manager didn’t hire anyone not available to work the weekends. In fact, for merchants, the weekends are no different than the weekdays. If they are open for business, they will expect the courier to be present and ready, as well.
Are Weekends the Best for the Courier?
The simple answer is, weekends are the best delivery days for couriers. However they are also the busiest delivery days for couriers. The increase in business volume is the first tipping point. Additionally, there is a more festive atmosphere during the weekends.
This can also apply to delivery customers. A happy and festive customer is a valuable prospect. Moreover they are common on the weekends. This is one of the reasons weekends are the best delivery days for the courier. An opportunity to significantly increase earnings, is bread and butter for the courier. Stay safe out there.
