A time sensitive delivery and new courier tips
Deliveries come in almost any shape and size. Additionally, they happen at almost any time of the day. Which is definitely a good thing, for the courier. The best work is consistent work, so to speak. To be even more concise, reliable work is an advantage in almost every way.
With this in mind having options is a valuable resource for the courier. The best one of these, is employment with a company that appreciates good drivers and shows it. Depending on the level of courier, there are more than a few of these. However, for the basic courier using a family car, a pizza joint can be a lucrative choice.
The best pizza joint selections are all about demand. Obviously, well known brands maintain a high level of sales. Additionally, this is the business environment, or atmosphere, best suited for delivery. Furthermore, the courier will be in a crew environment. This is a drastic change, in comparison to the solo courier.
A time sensitive delivery
As a courier, being a part of a crew, is an advantage. Although some experienced couriers may not agree. However there are advantages. The obvious difference is the dispersal of the delivery queue. I still remember when I realized how the delivery app dispatches the queue.
Experienced crew couriers, will know immediately, what that means. For the new courier, it means there’s a difference. A difference in the offers available to the courier. And at any given time in the queue. For the crew courier it means there are options, and the next available delivery can be declined. This is a unique thing about the delivery app. It allows for options.
There are a few couriers that do not observe the details in the delivery app queue. They prefer to accept each offer, as it is offered. With this in mind, a time sensitive delivery, can be accepted and completed. Moreover without any knowledge of its status. If the courier uses a delivery app, the delivery will have details. If the courier is a crew courier, the dispatch board will do the same.
Crew courier
Solo couriers that have experience in a crew delivery environment are particularly sensitive to the dispersal of deliveries. Learning to share a dispatch board, with seven or ten other couriers, will create a watchful and attentive courier.
This is why the crew experience enhances the solo courier’s work with a delivery app. Additionally, it helps the courier spot a bad deal. Times are difficult and uncertain. However, that doesn’t mean the courier should be rolling with bad deals to make ends meet. More on this in upcoming subscriber articles. It does get better. Stay safe out there.
