A new courier caveat and more cargo love
The black friday madness is in the record books! For those who don’t own a major retail outlet, the day was typical! Lots of traffic! Road traffic that is!
Not only were the roads very busy, but so were the retailers! With so many merchants participating in black Friday sales events, the crowds were predictable!
This in turn made a predictable rush. Not only was it a Friday night rush but also an unofficial holiday rush! Furthermore the demand was at an increase all evening! This is typical for the holiday season.
The new courier will notice that the demand for delivery seems to increase after an especially active rush. This is evidenced by the increase in stacked offers. When handling multiple offers, the courier will benefit from diligence in the care and handling of cargo.
Cargo Love
Heat, or thermal bags of any kind or size, will also benefit the new courier. It is possible for the courier to order the thermal bags from the delivery app. However, each separate app, has a separate methodology to accomplish this.
Furthermore paying special attention to the state of cargo is golden for the courier! Baseballs are meant for throwing, cargo is not. Tossing hot fresh food cargo anywhere, is taboo, unless it’s flapjacks!
This is especially important for merchants that pack fountain drinks into the cargo bags. Handling this cargo carefully on stacked runs is the job. The goal is on time delivery with intact cargo! It’s possible every time.
This course of discussion leads to the logical inclusion of a caveat. The stack. The stack attack or doubles and triples, however the courier thinks of it, the point is the same. The courier must be cautious when accepting stacked offers.
Whether it be a condition of the app screen or simply too little time to accurately gauge the offer, it’s not always possible to see every detail. Occasionally the courier may accept a stack offer that is not appropriate for the courier.
It can happen for a number of reasons, and it is important for the courier to remember that the offer can be dismissed after accepting. In some cases this can ding the stats but it’s recoverable. The courier may also decide to follow through, on an offer that was unclear. Sometimes that offer, becomes the golden cup. Stay safe out there.
