A more taxing revelation about deliveries
Deliveries are fun. Driving is also fun. Put those two together and a courier is right around the corner! The good news? Deliveries are much quicker than they used to be. Because of this it is possible to have almost anything delivered.
Hot fresh food is top on that list. How many afternoons have been saved by one good slice of pizza? At least three of mine have been. Furthermore, having a hot fresh meal at the right time is priceless.
Or a good price, depending on the app used for the delivery! It’s more than a convenience in many cases. Especially when the whole family is getting dinner delivered. This is a genuine benefit to families that are always on the go.
Another example is the parent who works away from home but is able to have a hot fresh meal delivered to the fam back at the house. Not only is this peace of mind for the at work parent, but also a chance to keep the family fed, while away.
More Taxing
All of this is going on in the rush, and at various times of the day. Deliveries tend to increase in bad weather. Furthermore they also trend based on the seasons. They carry on. The courier that carries on with them for a year, will need to do taxes on them, at the end of that year.
It is another article about taxes. However the courier running solo, has a greater amount of work to do at tax time. A courier that is an employee and receives a paycheck from an employer, has less work to do when filing taxes.
It is not the intent for this article, or this site, to offer any tax advice. This article and the ones like it are for alerting the solo courier that taxes are more complex and require more than just a simple form in most cases. Taxes for money earned through an app, fall under different categories, and more.
This is just a basic overview. The courier can benefit from seeking help from any of the resources that the apps offer. There are also many tax preparation companies that can help the courier. There’s a lot of help for doing the taxes. Also the early bird catches the worm. This article is the last one about taxes, it’s time to have some fun. Stay safe out there.
